#9 The Korean news

To a Korean mom, only the Korean news is valid. It doesn't matter what the NYTimes has to say. Except for when they write good things about Koreans or Korean food, like bon chon chicken. When this happens the 'others' are suddenly spot on.

Even though I am a proud Korean mom, I HATE Korean news and I do not trust any of the Korean newspapers.

They make a big deal out of a really tiny thing, brag about a small thing as if it is a big deal, most of all, they are liars!

The Korean news are so not valid to me.

Pretty much all Korean news is in someway biased by some chaebol, except for maybe YTN. YTN is pretty awesome.

It's one thing for the primetime news networks to do stories about FAN DEATH, but it's another that all of the Korean public fervently believe in it.

I am so upset by the stupid Korean media... They really expect all Koreans to read/listen to their crap and follow it as if it were sent down from God Himself! This is why my hubby and I will start a newspaper once we have enough money to do so... That way, we'll be able to spread the TRUTH for a change! It's so damn annoying when my mom cites the Korean papers or television... "Oh, it's definitely true... I heard this from the Korean news channel!" Geez louise...

Love always,
Heather
